My name is Kira Olsen-Medina
I am a rising Senior studying Sociology at Arizona State University and my honor's thesis project, Engagement through Art, has been selected for the United Nations Millennium Fellowship addressing inequalities in underserved communities. 

Project research supported by the Diversity and Inclusion Science Initiative Fellowship through T Danny Sanford School of Social and Family Dynamics, and funded by the Civic Engagement Change-maker Grant through Arizona State University.

Partnerships include work with Aguila Leadership Institute Phoenix and Amigo Skate Cuba. 

Qualitative and quantitative data will be collected from both project locations for a mixed method analysis of the program's impact on participating youths. Evaluating personal growth from social emotional learning skills achieved throughout the process, and self efficacy gained through artistic expression and community engagement.
